FPWA Kicks Off Toy & Gift Drive with Children's Holiday Party

Alan Muraoka from "Sesame Street" Will Perform

On December 2, 2015, from 10am -12:30pm,  the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) will host a children’s holiday party with 40 children (ranging in age from 2-5 years old) from Utopia Children’s Center to kick off its annual holiday toy and gift drive.

The function will be held at 40 Broad Street, 5th Floor, and will feature a performance by Alan Muraoka from Sesame Street as well as gifts.

This year, the organization has received more than 54,000 requests from its network of community and faith-based organization, all of whom serve low-income communities and families throughout the greater New York City area. Typically, FWPA is only able to fulfill less than 20% of the requests that it receives.

FWPA is seeking donations of new, unwrapped toys, educational materials and clothing for children ages 0-16 years. Donations can be dropped off at the FWPA headquarters, at the aforementioned address, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, until December 21, 2015
